Veterans of service in the US military, regardless of where their ancestors came from, are eligible for the same benefits. I wasn't aware that included discounts at civilian stores, but that would be up to the store.

But, if they've retired, they can fly space available on military aircraft, they can shop on base, they are entitled to military hospital medical care. Any US veteran is also eligible for VA benefits.

ANY veteran is eligible and would receive a discount in a civilian grocery store if they offer one and you were able to provide identification proving your service.

#1-Race has nothing to do with who is eligible for discount when talking about veterans, because we are all american, we are all red, white and blue
#2-Discounts are on a voluntary basis by the stores. You need to ask them if they have discounts

Stores can offer discounts to veterans on a voluntary basis. It would have nothing to do with them being Mexican American.

Unlike most of the answers so far, MANY civilian stores offer military discounts. If you are active, or retired, or a spouse of an active/retired service member and have a valid military id . My husband is active duty Coast Guard, and we always ask if a military discount is offered. Hotesl/Motels, tire shops, oil changes, electronic stores, KMART, and many others offer discounts, you just have to ask.

I don't think ANY veteran is eligible for discounts on groceries.

Every store has their own rules, though.

There are no vet bennies at civilian grocery stores, unless your checker is personally very supportive and decides to pay off some of your tab.
Race doesn't figure into it.
