The MCPON told my unit in Kuwait that the blue camouflage would be out in a few months, but that was back in early 2006.
I did see a master chief wearing them in Norfolk, but they are not even available at the NEX. I guess they just keep pushing it back.

I don't remember exactly. I was told that the new uniforms would be issued to boot camp recruits next fall. They usually get the new uniforms first and then then trickle out to the fleet. Depending on where you are will determine when you start wearing them. There is a change over period but places on the east coast will likely have to wear them first.
I don't know the official announcement on the uniforms. You could try google.

I am a vet who just came back in the Navy and I was told last month in Great Lakes that the fleet will begin wearing the new digital camis between the middle and the end of 2008 and that they will be issued to recruits beginning in 2009.
