The cross on which Jesus was purportedly crucified has never been located. Even if an ancient cross were discovered, how would anyone know that it was THE cross ? The ancient Romans crucified thousands of people, and used multiple wooden crosses to do so.

It's not, it's broken up (supposedly) into lots of fragments. A lot of churches have relics of the 'true cross' but most of them are probably fakes. Back in the dark ages there was a thriving business for people who went around selling fake 'fragments of the True Cross' and other Christian relics after the success of the first Crusade.

No, probably people saved it in pieces as holy artifacts...toothpicks, etc...well maybe not toothpicks...

no i don't thanks so the remains are probably disintegrated because it is so old or was
