Very! Nurses and teachers are two proffessions that are grossly UNDERPAID for what they have to do. Maybe if hospitals and schools can get corporate sponsorship and wear numbers....
(They're all #1 in my book!)

compared to their value to society they are grossly overpaid, however, anyone who has a skill that has value is entitled to get whatever they can for that service.
So it they are overpaid it is the people that are paying the moneys responsibility, not the athlete.
As long as there is demand for anything that demand determines the value, when balanced with the supply.
In a word they can not be overpaid, regardless of the money they receive since they are not the ones who determine the market.

Compared to nurses, teachers cops and firemen--yes.
Compared to corporate executives, they're a real bargain--since they actually create jobs and contribute to the company bottom line.

I can't begrudge them for getting as much as they can. But yes I do think they are being over paid.

If they are it is our fault as fans, at least indirectly. If we weren't so willing to pay exorbitant prices for tickets to the games, they couldn't continue to pay ridiculous salaries to the players.
