I've been told more than once that I look like the fourth horseman of the apocalypse.
I don't care though, I love being pale, and I slather on SPF 50 every day and avoid the sun to stay that way.

I have black hair and very light skin. I used to hate it that I couldn't tan! But now I get so many compliments on my skin, a guy I knew once said that I had a "glow". If it's natural, dark hair against fair skin = classic beauty. So I actually love my coloring now, it's different, and sets me apart from a lot if other girls. I think it's funny, you said you shine in the sun.....I tell people I glow in the dark =) All skin colors are beautiful! We shouldn't change what we have.

I also have dark brown hair and pale skin (as you can see from my pic) and I wouldn't have it any other way. I see these girls come out of tanning salons every day looking like an orange piece of leather for what? They can have their fake tan and the age spots and wrinkles that go along with it.
I'm so tired of everyone trying to be something we're not - hair dying, tanning, plastic surgery... What a boring world if we all looked the same?

Stunning. Especially when almost everyone's that funny teak colour these days. People are used to seeing 'tans' (whether from sun or bottle) so seeing a perfectly healthy pale skin is new. As long as you are in good heath and not that pale, grey colour. Your hair/skin combinations sound wonderful. Stay pale, girl!

I never used to tan, but after my daughter was born, my skin changed, and now I go golden quite easily.
My daughter was like a bottle of milk, and could sit in the sun for hours with no effect - but after giving birth to my grand daughter, she also started to tan ! So don't take it for granted that your skin will always be the same, especially if you have a child.
Beauty is about health, style and charm - any colour can have it

I think it is very natural and being natural is part of being beautiful. Why get tan and be all fake like so many other people? Pale is the new tan!

actually most times I think that paler people look far more healthy than people who are tan. Their skin looks softer and not as burnt looking. Fresh and natural.
i would not change a thing. Or if you want, use one of those lotions like Jergens that has some self tanner stuff it in to help you build up a little extra color with out doing a full blown sunless tanner.

It's perfectly fine to be pale and dark haired, as i am also very light skin with dark brown hair, but i do not live in a sunny climate like you do, so i don't even get a chance to get a tan. Try a light shade of blusher that will bring a bit of colour to your cheeks.

im so pale i cant actuly buy make up pale enough to suit me, even the lightest shade of really expensive brands with a masive range of colours ALWAYS looks really orange. i personaly like it, i think it makes me stand out, i think the only thing is that you can look a bit sickly sometimes, so i always wear a little bit of blusher on the apples of ur cheeks. if ur as pale as me, ul need a pink shade, anything peachy wont suit.
