Not really, too much sugar and they are too refined.
We have just recently begun using steel cut oats not so refined. It takes much longer to cook about 40 minutes. So I cook a pot (1 cup with 4 cups of water) It says you can soak it overnight to shorten the cooking time. This is my recipe.
Steel cut oatmeal
1 cup oats to 4 cups boiling water
When it is almost done I add diced apples or chunky applesauce.
Cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice (two or three Tablespoons)to taste (remember this will be about 5 or 6 one cup portions)
I use 1/2 cup Splenda (diabetic in the house)
but you can add sugar or brown sug. to taste.
I stir in about 1/4 to 1/3 cup raisins at the end. They plump up in the heat, if you put them in earlier they sink to the bottom and stick.
We portion these up in 3/4 ot 1 cup containers to put in the fridge. It makes mornings so easy. Pop one out for 1 to 2 minutes in the microwave. No kitchen mess and a great breakfast. I do a new batch when we run out.
Oh yes we add a tablespoon or so of crushed pecans after heating.

Instant oatmeal is much less nutritious than the whole grain stuff you have to cook for 5 or 10 min. The instant is refined and loaded with sugar. Better off getting some whole grain oatmeal and add a bit of syrup, banana, strawberry, blueberry, etc., much better for you.

You would be better off to eat old fashioned oats, just add water and nuke for 1-2 minutes. You can then add whatever you want and then you know what is in it and in what quantities

They're not unhealthy (unless they have a lot of added sugar), but are less healthy than regular oatmeal. Regular oatmeal is still a whole grain w/ heart benefits. Instant has been altered so it will cook faster, and does not have same benefit.

Yes they are preportion quick cooking oats. get the regular, without flavor though, because all those preservatives and fake crap is terrible for you. If you want flavor andd 1 tsp. of brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, and some walnuts and raisins or dried fruit you like.

Kind of. Oatmeal is an excellent breakfast but steel cut or the old fashioned kind is best. The instant ones have all kinds of sugar in them and will make you hungry faster.

Nope!
Too much sugar, preservatives and additives
Try making the real stuff and flavor it up as you like
MUCH better for you and the environment (less packaging)

No, they are very high in sugar and have less nutrients and fiber than the regular old oatmeal.
