Hi there! I have been taking Zoloft (generic brand: Sertraline) for about 6 months now and have not gained any weight from taking it. I exercise and eat healthy, but I have always done that anyway. Good luck!

I lost weight while on the Zoloft at first, then my weight just stayed the same the rest of the time I was on it.

I haven't taken it personally but a friend of mine did. She was on it for a year, eating the same amount as before, and exercising the same amount, and gained 15 lbs.

I did, yes...15 pounds in the one month I was on it. I didn't like how it made me feel either, so I am no longer taking it (and yes, I weaned off of it slowly with help from my Dr)

No. I gained weight from eating too damn much and not exercising.

But hey, at least I'm not depressed about it.
