We don't have the money to take her to the vet... She is around 4 months old telling by her teeth. She is a chihuahua. Tuesday morning she threw up and we thought after that she was better but since this morning she has threw up three more times. Her stool is really light brown and watery. She won't eat anything but is still drinking. She is really weak too. Her gums aren't pale but her eyes are really cloudy. Can anyone give me any clues to what might be wrong? PLEASE HELP!!!!

FIRST OFF, when we got her 2 months ago we took her to petsmart, and took her to the little vet place connected to it. THEN we had the money and she was fine. Recently my parents divorced and we are struggling with money right now. TO A FEW OF YOU WHO ARE BEING MEAN ABOUT THE SITUATION I WOULD RATHER YOU JUST NOT POST!
To those who are being kind thanks, I will try to call the vet ASAP!!!

Me nor my mom have seen blood in her stool or vomit. We have been feeding her puppy chow hard food and little champions wet food. The only thing we can think of is latley we were cleaning out one of my rooms and for about 10 minutes my mom was taking a bath and she left the door to the messy room open. If it is just something she ate will it pass? I'm so worried about her :(

You mention that you cannot afford to take your dog to the vet. Would I be right in assuming you haven't taken the dog to recieve it's vaccinations yet? If this is the case then your dog could have an infectious disease based on the symptoms you described. It could be a number of them such as Leptospirosis, Parvo, Distemper, or Corona Virus. These are highly infectious diseases that could be spread to humans or other animals. It is imperative that you get the dog to the veternarian right away or she could die.

I don't understand why you guys are so CRITICAL!! This is Yahoo! Answer. Not Yahoo! CRITICIZE ME. When there is a question asked, there are answers wanted, not freakin' people telling people how stupid they are and how they don't know any better! If they did, they wouldnt be asking the damn questions!

Anyway. Sweetie. Call a vet. They probably won't be able to tell you much over the phone. You're going to just need to bring your puppy in. It's pricey having a dog, but if it's means a lot to you then I suggest you do whatever it takes. And you know, things happen sometimes... If you can't afford to keep the puppy, then it's best just to give him or her up... I hope everything works out for you. It doesn't sound like parvo though. When my last puppy had parvo, he wouldn't drink much water. And when he did, he would throw it all back up... You'll never know until you get your dog checked out though.

Does she have her shots yet? I bought a 4 month old puppy with no shots, thinking I would simply take her to get her shots right away. She had the same symptoms but had stopped the vomiting..She wouldn't drink water though and I didn't have the money to take her to the vet. I called the vet and all they told me was to bring her in RIGHT AWAY because those were serious symptoms. On the third day I decided I had to because her stomach was growling nonstop. It turned out she had Parvo which is deadly to puppies because they get so dehydrated. I wont lie it was VERY expensive, but I know the shelters in Northern California don't treat their animals that get Parvo, so that's not a good solution at all! If she is current on her vaccinations though, there shouldn't be a chance of parvo..

Very sorry for your sick puppy. If she is still drinking get some chicken broth, just like a person, this will help keep her hydrated and give her a bit of strength. Call your vet and see if they will set up a payment arrangement, tell them your situation and if they won't work with you...find a vet who will. She could have eaten something that is blocking her bowel or even gotten into cleaning supplies. I don't know where you are from , but some shelters can advise you of vets that will help at a discounted price for certain situations. Good luck.

I have a chihuahua, she is almost 6 months old. When she was about 4 1/2 mo old we had to take her to the vet for it sounds like the same reasons, vomiting and runny stools. They told me it was one of 2 things, parvo or she was severly dehydrated. They gave her a shot of antibiotic and a perscription for 10 days of it as well, they also gave her a shot with liquid in it to hydrate her. The appt cost me about $112, but at the vet office I go to they take postdated checks. They did also tell me to limit the places they go till she had all of her shots, since they are very small dogs they can catch things easier then big dogs can. I know how much I love my chihuahua, I hope yours will be ok!

this sounds like Parvo to me.....we lost a pit bull puppy this summer from the same thing. The vet tried, but it was too late to save him....symptoms; excessive thirst, blood in stool, weakness, fever, dehydration even though it is still drinking. even if you can get this pup to the vet, it is very expensive to try to save. I'm sorry, you have to learn the hard way like we did. you must vaccinate your puppies as soon as they are old enough. I'm sorry...I know it's hard.

You people are so mean...you can' t tell me everyone of you was born with a "silver spoon" in their mouth and never needed money.bad things happen to good people, through not fault of their own. You people need a wake up call. Stop being so rude. Things happen that are out of our control sometimes.......

Most vets will allow you to make a payment plan with them so that the dog can get the treatment NOW while she needs it, and you can agree to make payments on the bill until it is paid off. You really do owe it to this dog to get her the care she needs. She doesn't understand about money and divorces. All she knows is she feels bad and is relying on you to take care of her.

what is in her vomit ? blood ,worms ,is it clear is it yellow . is there worms in her stool ? what do they look like . long curly ,get wormer at the store .If its parvo or lepto she would probably be passing blood .get calories in her fluids ,honey ,works good ,or take baby food and feed it to her in a ear dropper .If there is blood in her stool she needs to see a vet to get antibiotics like tetracycline or doxycycline to stop the infection .what part of the country do you live in ? in the south it could be erlicia or limes ,same antibiotics are used .look on vet md ,you may find the doses there .good luck

Vet. Really its the only option. Talk to the vet about setting up a payment plan.

TAKE HER TO THE VET! Seriously, it sounds like she has parvo. If you can't take her to the vet, give her up to a shelter. If she doesn't get immediate care, she's going to die.
