Would Hillary have ever gotten the chance to become one of New York's senators if John Kennedy had never died?

Was Hillary "lucky" in an odd way since JFK, Jr.'s passing away made it so that he would not be taking one of the 2 New York Senator seats?

"Within days of an NBC Dateline story hinting at a possible run for the Senate seat currently assumed to be the property of Hillary Clinton, JFK Jr. and his wife and sister-in-law died when the Piper Saratoga II TC JFK Jr. was piloting crashed in to the ocean just short of Martha's Vineyard. The NEWSWEEK issue for the following Monday, which NBC Dateline had reported would announce JFK Jr's candidacy, was yanked from distributors and destroyed."

Hilarious!!! I love these.

I never heard of a possible run for the Senate by JFK, Jr. Nearly every time the press tried to catch up with him, he would flip them the bird on camera and run.

I am in no way defending Hillary, and why New York would elect a Senator who has yet to actually LIVE in their own state is a complete mystery to me. Maybe someone from New York can explain why voting for HER makes sense as opposed to say another (God forbid) Democrat who has actually spent some time in New York and knows the issues???

I just did not know Junior ever announced his intention to run for Hillary's seat. I had never heard that before.

Clinton was a carpetbagger in seeking the Senate seat, but RFK pulled the same tactic to gain a national forum as a means to run for president. JFK Jr. may have been pushed into a run for the Senate, but he seemed to distance himself from a life as a career politician. Certainly, if he would have run he would have won......and the Clintons would not have taken on the Kennedy legacy - she probably would have taken "residency" in another state as a means to win a Senate seat.

Hilarious!!! i like those. I never heard of a conceivable run for the Senate via JFK, Jr. almost each and every time the clicking tried to get closer him, he might turn them the chicken on digital camera and run. i'm never protecting Hillary, and why ny might decide for a Senator who has yet to unquestionably stay of their own state is an entire secret to me. possibly somebody from ny can clarify why balloting for HER is clever as adversarial to assert yet another (God forbid) Democrat who has unquestionably spent some time in ny and is familiar with the topics??? I in simple terms did no longer know Junior ever introduced his purpose to run for Hillary's seat. I had never heard that till now.

Just in time for Halloween!

EDIT:Sageandscholar, hmmmmmm that's something to think about lol. I'll add this: Gennifer Flowers, Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, Ken Starr, Monica Lewinsky, all of those right-wingers trashing and smearing Bill Clinton during his presidency, all still alive...

And yet despite your brilliant mind being able to make this connection - and the devastating evidence you have put forward being so damning to the Clintons - they have let you live. Now that is fishy!

JFK Jr. would of had a great political career if he had lived.

I'm sure she would have taken advantage of another state to gain a senatorial seat. If he hadn't died, we probably have both.
