I've never seen an oompa loompa. But there could be one back there! I have no evidence to the contrary, after all, I haven't checked.

Do you think I'm acting self-important? Like I'm acting as if I know things when I'm really just assuming?

I'm going to go check.....

Sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing not to assume. After all, is there any logical reason to assume that there IS an oompa loompa in your backyard?

I mean, you don't necessarily have to discount the possibility completely--stranger things have happened--but I see no reason to assume that there is one there. Some people in this category might think differently, though...

Well, you can't prove that the oompa loompa isn't there, as you can always search through all the bushes and still not find them. But can't prove it is there, hiding, or ever was there in the first place. Those oompa loompas can be tricky little things.

as a forme oompa loompa herder I would like to know if there is one in your backyard. Usually we keep them rounded up well, but there is a chance of one going astray. Listen for the song. If you hear it, chances are one is nearby. Also if there is any candy left in your yard the chances are greater that you will attract a stray oompa loompa.

If there was one back there, you could hear him singing. So if you don't hearing the oompa loompa song, you are safe.
