Is this the usual number?

But 120 credits it 5 years, isn't college supposed to be 4 years?!

120 sounds normal to me. I think my degree was 129 or something like that. Most degrees are 4 years but some are 5 and many 4 year programs end up taking 5 years to complete if you struggle with a course or change majors in the middle.

Typically you must take at least 12 credits (3-4 classes) a semeter to be considered a full time student. At 12 credits a semester (the minimum) it would take you 10 semesters or 5 years. I always took 16-18 credits (5-6 classes) a semester which is not unusual, at that rate you would easily complete your degree in 4 years.

120 credits is the usually number in order to get a bachelors degree in most colleges. There are some colleges that require 130 credits to graduate.

A bachelor's degree requires about 120 semester hours. Some require a little more and some (outside the US) require a little less.

An associates degree is also an undergraduate degree and requires about 60 semester hours.

Yeah, at most colleges and universities it is about average to have to take 120+ credit hours to get your undergrad.
