Hey guys, For a while this is what i wanted, but for other reasons, i really don't want to be numb... This probably sounds dumb, but i'm going numb to the world around me, nothing hurts, no one can tug at my emotions, i'm not depressed at all. The thing is though, now that i don't feel anything towards anyone really, i can say mean stuff all the time and not feel bad, which some people may like for themselves, but i don't like it. Anyone have anything to say?
little more about myself. i'm a philosophy major, i used to be very devout in my church. i know i'm lost and destine for hell. I don't want to be that way though, but, being numb, i have and feel no conviction.

All believers experience these moments in their lives. It is called a dryness. You may be making the most spiritual progress when you are suffering with Christ on the cross, not when you get that feel good inside. Some people experience this during their entire adult lives. Keep praying. Prayer, during these periods, is very important. It may be very difficult to pray. And keep trying to do good and avoid evil. I will pray for you.

I pray that the Lord will enter your heart and show you that He is the truth, the life and the way.
This is very important: He is the only way out of this dilemma.

If you know you're lost, then you need to be open to being found. No one can make you do that, do it for yourself. Force yourself to get back into Church, force yourself to pray. As they say "Fake it 'til you make it".
