ya everything from your baby toe to your forehead..everything! :o) run at the fastest speed your body can take you. push yourself and don't stop until YOUR BODY is truly tiered..don't use clock/watch timers..let your body be the timer and listen to it ^.^. good luck

running only tones the muscles that are doing the most work such as your quads, hamstrings, butt, lower leg and hips. if you are just starting out do slower paced jogs so your body can get used to the exercise without getting injured. if you've been running for awhile already then pick up the pace to something you can maintain for the entire time you are running but that still challenges you and makes you push yourself to finish. for optimum fat burning you should interval train. this means that, say you typically jog 30 minutes...well you take 5 to warm up at a comfortable pace and then after that you alternate 2 minutes faster pace and 1 minute full out sprint pace. take the last 5-8 minutes to cool down. for better and faster results add some weight training in a couple times a week with some squats, lunges and plie lunges.

Absolutely yes.

I lost 44lbs following a healthy diet, and running for 30mins on a treadmill, 15mins on a cross trainer and 15 mins on a rower. It definitely tone everything I had to tone up. The results are amazing. I did this 5 times a week, more if I could. Now I have lost my weight I still do the same, but am able to indulge a little bit more with my food. Exercise is great to maintain your weight too.

Good luck and enjoy.

yes...even your abs and arms
not really, but if you want to be able to run well then you focus on form; no "side to side" arm motion, each arm pulls back to almost a 90 degree angle, straight torso, look straight at the horizon and lift your knees, and breathing: in every two steps, out the next two steps...drink 6-8 glasses of water or until your urine is a pale yellow or clear color (nasty, i know, lol) get plenty of sleep and don't overdo the running or you'll bulk up with muscles

To quote the words of my doctor "Running's plain stupid". You end up with stress fractures and injuries.
Get out the old skipping rope and skip for 5 mins per day. That will tone everything.

It will work wonders. Start walking, then walk/jog, then jog and then gradually increase your speed.
