WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski likened U.S. officials' saber rattling about Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions to similar statements made before the start of the Iraq war
"I think the administration, the president and the vice president particularly, are trying to hype the atmosphere, and that is reminiscent of what preceded the war in Iraq," Brzezinski told CNN's "Late Edition" on Sunday.
But Henry Kissinger, the former national security adviser and secretary of state under President Nixon, appeared not to doubt Iran's alleged ambitions.
"I believe they are building a capability to build a nuclear bomb," Kissinger told CNN. "I don't think they're yet in a position to build a nuclear bomb, but they may be two or three years away from it."

I would remind you that it was Kissinger who, almost singlehandedly, stopped a evil Marxist dictatorship in Chile

The reason Kissinger has stayed relevant all these years is he knows international relations like no one else. Brzezinski was a one-hit wonder, and no wonder he surfaces when Iran is being discussed, it's the one thing he is an expert on. He was part of the reason why Iran is such a problem these days. I trust Kissinger.
Read Kissinger's book "Diplomacy" if you want to learn a lot about international affairs.

Don't take anyone else's word! Read it for yourself.
The Bush Administration IS manufacturing evidence about Iran in order to take what ever Military Action they can muster from our depleted and over stretched Forces.
It's the last thing on their To Do List. Read "The Project for a New American Century" if you want to know more. Dick Cheney had invasions of both Iraq and Iran firmly planned before he ever was nominated Vice President. He didn’t expect Iraq to take this long. Bush knows nothing of Foreign Policy except what Cheney and Rice told him.
What ever Kissinger has to say comes from his Zionist Roots, not any Independent Expert Analysis or Passionless Observation based in Experience.
All the people I mentioned are TOTALY Agenda Driven. Bush is obviously not satisfied to leave just one mess for the next Administration. He wants to bomb Iran in the 11th Hour of his Administration and walk away before the Devastation of this final act of irresponsibility becomes fully apparent.
This MUST be stopped!!!!!

Kissinger.
I don't think Iran will use nuclear weapons. I think Iranians will begin to take a closer look at their lunatic leader and get rid of him. The danger is if he stays in power long enough to gain nuclear weapons, is deposed as Prime Minister, and then takes these weapons and uses them against Israel and/or the West. We should have grabbed this guy yesterday.

I'm not an expert in politics but remember Kissinger for his dislike of communists/ism. He was/is a brilliant man who served our country well.
As for Carter - let's see:
-He claims to be working as a peacemaker; however, he has made no effort to work with Israel and as a self-professed Christian and Sunday School teacher (what a laugh) is actively contributing to persecution of Israel, Zionism and Jews. The man is completely unhinged and a bold-faced liar;
-He has also proven he is a traitor to the US by currying favor with a wealthy Arab, accepting payoffs of millions of dollars for personal gain and to bail him out of problems with his peanut business. Naturally, he has been 'bought'. He will be/is a willing pawn and is already a threat to our nations security.
-He's a plaigiarizer.
-I think he began nursing his skills of dishonesty and ineptitude long ago. His term in office amounted to nothing but a 'black hole'.
Obviously Carter chose advisers who played no part in encouraging his service to the American people.
Sure, a home here and there to the needy and deserving is a good thing, but "Humanity" is defined as 'group', not a random few. Know I'm ranting, but it is my belief

I'll take the Carter adviser over Kissinger who I think is pure evil, not only for fumbling in Vietnam, but also some cloak and dagger games in S. America. But why am I given only this choice? A scum versus a scum?

Your lack of education is showing.
Kissinger is a Zionist who's primary allegiance is to Israel, not the US, and who surrendered South Vietnam to the Communists. He also arranged to send Nixon to kiss Mao's butt, thus opening the door for China's economic rise to power at America's expense.
Thanks for playing. Better luck next time.
P.S. Kissinger backed evil fascist dictator Augusto Pinochet in Chile. You really should log off your mom's computer and try picking up an actual history book once in a while before you attempt to reinvent history.

I don't see their responses to be at odds: Brzezinski talked about saber-rattling and Kissinger talked about the legitimacy thereof.
