It popped out of Harry Reids mouth again today like he's some kind of demented parrot; "Awk, Tax breaks For the Rich, Awk!" Does this mean that the loopy left feels that success is something to be punished, or does he feel that this is ingratiating him with the people who don't want to work hard and want everything handed to they with no effort on thier part.

If you start with nothing, work long and hard, build yourself up and make a success out of yourself, aren't you living the American dream, and why does this toupeed tyrant feel that this is something to be punished? Lets face it, he's pulled some pretty shady deals to enrich himself yet I don't see him wanting his own taxes raised. Why does he want to punish others for being successful?

You must be punished for working hard, educating your self and your children and putting away some funds for your future. You must share that with the people who have no ambition and need you to take care of them.

Never mind that we already take care of the mentally and physically disabled and children. And no one is ever turned down for hospital care.

Shame on you for being an upstanding citizen!

It doesn't matter that the top 6% of Americans pay over 80% of the taxes.

What makes you think you should enjoy the fruits of your labor?

I'm still trying to figure out why there are any rich socialists....

Edit - it's about fairness?!? I respectfully disagree. My husband's youngest brother is a complete loser. My husband is by far the most successful of the family - he not only has an excellent job with the state, but he runs two small businesses. He works easily 90 hours a week. His youngest brother didn't finish high school, has a drug and drinking problem, and - surprise, surprise - has a hell of a time finding (and keeping) a job that pays him very much. Why is it "fair" to tax us more to pay for *his* lack of skills and ambition?!? People need to take responsibility for themselves. End of story.

It's actually quite simple. the left leaders have brainwashed them into believing that they don't need the rich and the rich are forcing them out of jobs when in reality the rich are the ones that put the money into those accounts that allow them to have their welfare money each month. What they totally disregard is the fact that their own leaders are the rich as well. They have to be rich in order to get into the position they are in. When was the last time a poor person was EVER in office?

They hate the Rich because the Rich doesn't want to give them handouts
they hate the rich because the rich earned it...
the believe that everyone should be taken care of by the government.. they want a per-ma nipple to suck on!

It's not just the Rich they hate ... its anyone who fends for them self and strives and succeeds

they hate prosperity
they hate ambition
they hate hate yet practice it daily
they hate people who take personal responsibility
they just hate life in general...

Pray for them!!
they are poor lost souls!

Its called envy...which is a trade mark of the libs...without it they would have a harder time manipulating their mind numb robots into voting for them....This nation is starting to lose its work ethic as well as its moral core values that made it the greatest nation known to man....its disgusting and it will be the death of this nation...

It has nothing to do with hate.

It's about fairness and economic stability.

The rich are getting richer than ever while everyone else is falling behind, according to all the objective economic data of the last several years.

An unbalanced economy in which 80% of the wealth is in the hands of 5% of the population is unhealthy and dangerous.

Bush's lie-based quagmire in Iraq and the GOP Congress's other pet projects have run up another TRILLION dollars of debt over the last few years.

Someone has to pay for it. Will it be the super-rich who have benefited from the GOP tax cuts and loopholes, or hard-working Americans over the next eight generations?

It's one or the other.

Sometimes I hate them too because they tend to look down on the average person. But not all of them. The ones I dispise are the ones who didnt earn it themselves and they flaunt it and think they are above the law.

Harry Reid is just playing to his audience. Besides, if you demonize the rich, like they do Bush, it makes it easier to steal from them.
