Of course it's a fraud. The telephone number is a diverted mobile number - probably to Nigeria. It's utter rubbish. Throw it in the bin.
The email wasn't even addressed to you personally.

Did you apply to Chevron?? Probably not. There's clue number one. Is the job offer for some percentage of a large sum, just to receive money in another country? Clue number two. Have you EVER received a letter from a potential employer saying "yours faithfully"??? Clue number three. Did the email come to you, or "dear friend" or something of the like, with a million email addresses in the TO section? clue number four. Getting the picture yet, Sherlock?

Of course the email is complete bullshit.

Did you honestly believe that this was REAL? Incredible that there are people that actually fall for this.

Besides, this is NOT an immigration question...this should be put in the "I am dumber than a bag of hammers" forum.

this is a scam and the sender will ready your reply so feel free to say the worst things you can think of to them. The vast majority of these scams are coming out of Nigeria so you should also feel obligated to insult their nationality. I get scams like this all of the time and sometimes I reply to them and mess with their heads a bit. :)
