Yup but people from Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Brazil etc etc area all American too.
So all US citizens are American ( maybe Irish American, English American etc if they have dual citizenship) but not all Americans are US citizens.

You don't have to have a passport to be a citizen, but you do have to be a citizen to receive a US passport. US citizens are called Americans,while citizens of Canada are Canadian and of those of Mexico, Mexican..just to clarify.

Well, in truth, you don't need a passport to be an American, that's just for traveling outside the USA borders. As for "American" as a status, its people whom are b o r n in America or obtained legal status through naturalization. Dual citizenship is another issue....and rarer.

The Good: those people that are willing to live their homes and risk their lives with out harming or hurting other people and look for a way to feed and support their families knowing that is up to them to feed and dress those God creatures that were born under their responsibility and not their government, they are willing to travel to different countries and suffer; loneliness, harassment, discrimination, segregation, hate, verbal abuse, under the justification of been here illegally.
The Bad: those people that are misinformed by the media and blame their misfortunes on illegal immigration not knowing that they have the full control of their success or failure.
The Ugly: Those people that live on government help i.e. welfare, section 8, false disability, and false unemployment they believe illegal immigrants are taking what belongs to them these people usually have a computer and are always spreading hate on yahoo and other internet media.
