No, because the American stadard of living is lot better in 2007 than in 1920. In 1950 Missisppi was poorer than present day Mexico. America changes from time to time, but will always have the british influence in its culture, and Mexico will change too and have the hispanic influence from Spain in its culture. Both are very efficent at assimulating ideas off each other, and for 200 years both countries interacted with each other. Mexico curropt elite down to the peons know how America functions more at times than does some people in Europe that only hear about America in the news. Mexico will improve slowly and immgration will slow because curroption will always rot itself out of the system. America same thing back in the 1950s a lot more curroption then as now with party machines taking bites under the more so. Lobbyist used to hand out money to congress right in front of the president at the time.

Mexico plus 32 other countries (including the US) make up America. I don't see the whole continent revolving around Mexico, apart from tortillas that are exported all over the place.

Neither. America is simply not too serious about illegal immigration. If and when we get hit again, maybe America will start deporting illegals.
