They say that scientists have proven that on December 21, 2012 the world will melt because of Global Warming and everyone will die. Some of the signs that God gave us about the Day of Judgement (in Islam) is that it will be a Friday. If you look on the calender it will be a Friday.

But if you read about other signs, some things STILL didn't happen. There is a person called 'Al-Mahdi' that will come and make peace on earth and everything, and him alone will stay 40 years. And he still didn't come and there is still no peace on earth.

After him comes another person called 'Jeses the liar' that claims he is Jesus and really isn't. Some people will believe in him, but if you are a true Muslim you can see 'liar' written on his forehead.

Then after he stays for a bit and some people believe in him, the true Jesus will come and kill him and stay on earth and encourage people to believe in him and Islam. So as you can see, I think this is crap. What do you think?

No. Idiots spout babble, claiming scientists say things. This date has the same chance of being the last day as any other -- practically none.

All this is imaginary superstitous bullcrap. In 4 years when this date comes and goes, remember that I said this.
The 2012 end of the world date is from the ancient Mayan calendar. The New Agey types took this up and try to use it to predict armeggeddon. Why should we believe the Mayans? These guys were more advanced than their contemporaries but they were still ignorant elitist cannibals. They killed and ate people to appease their gods. Apparently it didn't work coz the conquistadors rolled right over them like they were nothing.
People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years. The only problem is that their dates for this end have continued to come and go without any end ever occuring.

Each new generation gets the meglomaniac idea that they are the "end time generation" and they think they have discovered this end of the world crap for the first time.

It's like, how many times do you cry wolf before we start ignoring you?

Science predicts that there will be an end but it won't be for a few billion years from now when our sun runs out of fuel.
We should be so lucky as to have not destroyed ourselves ten times over by then.
All this scriptural prophecy about mahdis and false Jesuses - a big load of pure fantasy; aint gonna happen.
Write this down, remember I said there will be no end in 2012.
Truth is contagious~

Who claims scientist say this?

What scientists claim this?

This is utter tripe. The world will melt? We might see a couple of degrees temperature rise, making some of the polar ice caps melt.

21/12/2012 is the end of this cycle of the Aztec calender. that is it.

Given the ability of the Torah/Bible/Koran to make firm specific predictions, I would be very skeptical over any End Of The World predictions. I see these more as a scare tactic to make people convert. Why is it that the people who push these predictions always claim it is going to happen Real Soon Now?

No one but Jesus and his Father, God knows the year, month, week, day, hour, minute and second of Christ's return. The world doesn't end in one day. First, His church is taken to heaven (Millions of people disappear in a twinkling of a eye, a generation of children 0-7 will be gone as well for they are too young to make the choice of recieving Christ.) After the AntiChrist makes a treaty with Israel, the Tribulation begins and the world lasts for 7 years. The first 3 1/3 years is the Tribulation and the second 3 1/2 years is the Great Tribulation. It will be like the 10 plagues of Egypt but much more worse.

Well, I am a Christian but don't base my beliefs about that day on that.

There are actual events that will happen that day, the main one being that the earth will be in alignment with the sun and the center of our Galaxy, something that happens only every
5125 years. Some scientists believe this will have some Gravitational effect on our planet. But what that will be is not known. We can only wait and see.

Probably nothing will happen but still nothing can be done about it either.

this is not going the united states of a will tear itself aside yet quicker or later empires fall, this is an inevitability yet there is not any reason to suspect it is going to ensue quickly BTW the Mayan hoax improve into immediately! you won't be in a position to take activities of different days and declare this is to do with this prediction, whilst somebody makes a prediction and that they are incorrect appropriate to the date, the area, the progression they are purely undeniable incorrect. sure we are having floods in specific areas of the united kingdom and this is conceivable the somewhat some flooded area gets frozen over yet this could be a protracted way from an ice age. There could be little question we are experincing greater severe climate greater in many situations via climate exchange, which has been envisioned for years via actual scientists and could have been prevented if human beings have been prepared to make the mandatory variations to their life-style yet for sure human beings decide to force around of their SUVs refuse to swap lights off, force a hudred yards to the newsagent to %. up a newspaper etc... This whether has no longer something to do with the Mayan hoax.

First off no one knows when Jesus will return, but God Himself. So for us to give dates is wrong. I won't comment on the other stuff, but I will say one day the truth will be revealed and my hope is that we all will know the truth and believe in Him..
