Not necessarily, any German territory would have done. Those arguing that the Jews would not have accepted must be making reference to the terrorist campaign that preceded the foundation of Israel, a barely acknowledged fact. If the Jews' preferences are to be taken to heart, why weren't the Palestinians' preferences considered?

The real question is why Israel was allowed to evict the indigenous population and develop a racially driven interior policy that differs little from German fascism and Apartheid. Wherever the Jews would end up, why kick out the people who were there before you? Why treat them like second class citizens?

I know why too. The US would not have had an ally had Israel been a land for Arabs and Jews. The US needs war in the M.E.

I have ever so briefly speculated on a similar question, and eventually came to the crux of: would they have accepted it?

I don't think that land would have been satisfactory to the more religious of the jews then seeking a homeland, as long as the historically occupied area around Jerusalem could be had.

properly, i think of the West economic business enterprise settlements are counterproductive and could be deserted. which could look contradicted by the adventure in Gaza. Withdraw settlements, Hamas takes benefit. definite, that's what they combat to do. of direction that's take benefit, get hit returned. the two sides declare to have a magnificent to extra of the different. i think of we could continually set the U.N.'s 1949 selection as being the answer to a thank you to stability those claims. Making Palestine a completely self reliant united states works the two techniques. It provides Palestinians the prospect to make it the nicest, maximum rich, non violent united states they are in a position to construct. It provides Palestine collective accountability for breaches of the peace and the prospect to have it grew to become returned to squalor in the event that they choose for that. that's how i think of it is going to artwork. i do no longer think of that's going to take place quickly.
