I'd stay away from Max, Rusty, and Sam as these are REALLY common names. I like Bronco and Cody. Paz is cute, but I think it would be a difficult name for him to understand...same with Mike, Mika, and Alex. Dogs do best with a 2 syllable name ending in the "ee" sound. Personally, I'd go with Cody. I also like the name Quincy (because I'm a nerd like that.)

I think in my opinion that Bronco, Rusty, and Paz are really good names. Asha meaning hope is a really good name. I have 3 dog's and there names are Max, Asha , and Malacki. I used to have a dog named Marshal. You could name him Sunshine but that might be a little girly. There are a lot of dog's name are Max so I recommend that you don't name him Max. The only reason I named Him my dog Max is because he came with his name. I like all the names you posted but they ones I told you I think are the best ones! I don't think you should name your dog Cody meaning cushion unless he is really soft.
Good Luck on finding him a name!
You have to find a name for him quick!!

Hi
I had the same dilemma when I first brought home my Golden (male also). I asked my family to choose from a list of names I found on the internet for naming a puppy. They were asked to pick their favorite 3, and list them as 1 favorite, 2 next and finally 3 as the last favorite.

Duke is the name that came back on everyone's list, some as number 1 pick, others as 2 or 3 but on all e mails. So I went with Duke (glad I did, he is a "Duke") also gave him the sire's names so his full name is Duke of Winston of Shiloh, and a unique ending Cola ( a name of one of my fathers childhood pets.) Duke of Winston of Shiloh's Cola is now 9 months, and the joy of my life, and a loving member of my extended family.

In your list, Cody is another one that was on my list. I like the name Casey also, although that is not on your list.

Well...I always like the original names that I haven't heard before......Bronco is cool and so is Paz & Mika. I've heard all those other suggestions.

Paz is neat because of the meaning and because of the color of your golden....it all goes together.

Bronco would be really good if you were a football fan and lived in Denver!! :)

I think Mika is a cool name. I'm not huge on naming dogs with people names. I think a dogs name should also show his personality. i had one of my puppies for about a week before he had a name just because I wanted to know what kind of dog he was going to be. Good luck with the new puppy it's fun!!!!

Every other dog I groom is named Max it seems like. Rusty is used an awful lot too. I love Paz! It's different, has meaning, and has good sounds that a dog will hear easily. Perfect.

Paz is cool. I would go one step further

PAXON

it also means peace, gold

(please neuter him before he's 6 months old, whatever his name may be)
