we have been dating over a year now, and i said it to him first at about 6 months, he has said it to me and says it back when i tell him, but we hardly say it. i texts and writes it in myspace messages, but thats the only thing that i really have a problem with him - everything else is going amazing

maybe he is just nervous to say it? anyone with any other insite? I dont want to confront him about it, bc then ill feel like he is just saying it bc i brought it up, not bc he feels it

Most guys don't say it. That's just what guys do. He shows you he loves you by the fact that he is with you, he does not waste the time to say it. Guys lie all the time so words have no meaning to a guy.

It's hard for a guy to get to the spot where he is comfortable to say 'I love you'. It's possible, but don't count on it anytime soon. And there is nothing you can do to speed it up(at least nothing you'd be willing to do).
