how can i tell relatives that want me to go on a singles cruise or i can afford an apartment no. i live in the katrina zone where living has shot up dramatically. they say go on a singles cruise or you can afford an apartment but i make 9.25/hr and i dont think so but they say yes i can. any comments would be helpful

ask them to pay for it, or pay your rent. See if they can afford it.
You could always just tell them that you don't WANT to go, that might keep them off of your back.

see a financial advisor before making any firm decisions regarding money and your future. ending up with bad credit through being unable to pay your bills can be very bad for you.
As for the cruise, i'm guessing your young, you have to weigh up the money you would be spending on the cruise and what 2 weeks away or however long it would be would mean to you in the terms of a life experience.
the money you could save by not going on the cruise would be benificial in the future, but sometimes memories and life experience are more important
