"Jesus" I know, not an unusual name until you learn that he was Hebrew, of the house of David, a Yahdai (Jew). And THERE IS NO "J" IN THE HEBREW ALPHABET!!! More unusual is the fact that he was not called this until long after his death. Also there was is no "J" in the Greek or Latin. Even in the English the "J" was not introduced until well after the Normans (French) invaded England and overthrew the English throne, something like 1066 c.e.

O.K. lots of boring history here, to make a long story short:

-Before Jesus it was Iesus (Greek)

-Before Iesus it Iesua (More Greek)

-Before Iesua it was Yeshua (Aramaic)

But in fact his name was, is, and ever will be Yahshua (Hebrew) meaning: Yahweh is Salvation

O.K. and in fact I never personally met the guy so I guess this doesn't technically answer your question.

My sincerest apologies,
-Yahzachar Hawkins
