i define it as trying to live my life doing no intentional harm to another. trying to avoid any speech or action that would rob them of their dignity as a human being. i can detest sin without detesting the sinner when i am in conflict with the actions of others. i learned that people have their own individual interpretation of logic and to not assume my 'common sense' is the only valid interpretation for others.
reticule is the refuge of a person who cannot present their strong ideas or ideals and who must resort to reticule of another for validation.

Very broadly speaking, I'd say morality are abstract ethics which define our actions, allowing us (hopefully) to become civilised people- so, for example, you may decide that stealing is wrong, because although it may mean denying yourself something you could aquire in the short term, you do so because you appreciate that in the long term you will recieve more valuable benefits (trust of others, the respect for your property by others, etc.). Check out the works of a philosopher called Bertrand Russell if your interested in getting a good grasp on what morality is without having someones specific moral code foisted on you- he explains it much clearly than I can.

10 commandments is morality only for Christians. But morality of the whole humanity has nothing to do with 10 commandments.
Morality in general is a set of principles of behavior that benefits the whole humanity.

Morality is being truth full, honoring any vows made to someone and acting to help others without seeking rewards. Putting the needs and welfare of disadvantaged ahead of your career and not using the less advantaged for political or financial gains. Being more like Bush Senior than Clinton is a prime example of being moral.

Morality is the intuitive but nonetheless arbitrary restraint placed by members of society on one another. It is often not law or decree, but forged from organic societal rules.
What is moral in one social group may be immoral in others.
In the Middle East its not unusual for a man to have several wives. In the United States that's called bigamy and its illegal in some if not most states but generally frowned upon morally.
Using pot may be okay in Amsterdam, but unheard of in Salt Lake City.
Living in an open marriage with polyamory may be perfectly acceptable sexual behavior in Los Angeles or New York, but condemned in Kennesaw, GA and Mobile, AL.
So there you have it.

A subjective distinction between right and wrong which, in spite of widespread belief that the distinctions are absolute, remains a concept that is relative, manifested in any given person's behavior, and based on or determined by his or her culture and norms.

I kind of like that golden rule where you're supposed to treat people as you'd like to be treated. It's also good to avoid judging people if you can.

As a child I was taught "do unto others as you would have others do unto you", it has served me well and I hope it has also served others.
