I have a bid down on ebay for this: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Bazooka-Dual-10-Subs-300W-Amp-and-Enclosure-Package-EL10190PP/sem/rpsm/oid/150746/catOid/-15481/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do but didn't realize it was for vehicular use until I bid. (ooops!) What I wanted was something more like this: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SA-WM250-100-Watt-Active-Subwoofer/dp/B00026KYFS which I can hook up to my home system via speaker wire. Is there any way to convert it over, and is there a way that I can plug it into a wall socket for juice?

Well for your sake I hope you get outbid. That 300 watt car sub will require a 12 volt power supply that can output 25 amps of current. You can buy a regular sub for the price of the power supply alone!

Well....I think that if you have the proper enclosure for the subs and that you have a seperate amplifier to hook your receiver's Subwoofer pre-out to, then you would be all set to go....might not get as good a sound as a true home theater sub though.

I see from the circuit city add that there is an amp that comes with it, if you are receiving that from the ebay seller as well don't use that as that amp is made only for car use....get yourself a really nice stereo amplifier that can go down to 2 ohms....might be quite expensive for that though. Instead of an amp, if it's too expensive, go for a stereo receiver...those are usually 8 ohms though and you would need to get additional subs to get it to add up to 8 ohms.
