Ryan Braun recently hit his 25th home run in his 82nd career game. That is a faster pace than Albert Pujols and Ryan Howard. I know Mark McGwire did it in 77 games. Is that the record? Ted Williams hit is 24th in his 76th game but I don't have a game log to see when he hit his 25th. Is there any other player that might have hit 25 in less than 82 games?

Mark McGuire at 77 games is the fastest to 25 HR. Braun is the 2nd fastest to 25 HR in MLB history.

I think Braun may be the new record holder for fastest to 25 HR. Only other possibility I can think of could be Rudy York, who had 35 HR in his first 107 games, but can't find his game by game logs.

*Edit - On second look, McGwire does seem to hold the record. Sorry about that.

I'm not sure about at bats but Mark Mcgwire was the fastest to 21 home runs doing it in 60 games compared to 79 for Maas. All though I don't know the number of at bats for Mcgwire

I believe it is Ryan Braun, are you sure about Mark McGwire? I know Braun was the fastest to 15 and to 21 homeruns.
