Seattle won't fade; they are the only team in the league w/ a true 1-9 line-up: every Seattle hitter has at least 50 RBIs. They're hot right now, and they're not slowing down. They may, however, catch up to the Angels, who would then win the wild-card. It will either be Seattle or LAA, but the AL wild-card will come fromt he west.

Ahhh the American League mess. Lets start in the AL East by sayiing the Red Sox will start to slide and yes the Yankees will come back, but will not have enough. I think the Yankees could bring the division to within a half game, but the Red Sox will hold onto the East because of the excellent pitching. In the AL Central it's a hot race right now and I think the 2nd place Tigers will also bring it back, but not have enough to surpass the Indians. The Indians will win the Central because they have better pitching than Detroit right now. I think Detroit will probably be tied with the Indians at the end of the season, but the tiebreaker goes to the Indians. Then in the AL West there is no doubt the Los Angeles Angels will run away with this division. They are simply an all around better team than Seattle. So with Boston, Cleveland and Los Angeles winning the divisions who gets the wild card? Well that is going to have to be the Detroit Tigers. Sorry Yankee fans, it just isn't going to happen, the hole is too deep. The Tigers have the bats and fielding to do some damage and they'll come up just short of the division. So I'm taking the Red Sox, Indians, Tigers and Angels in the playoffs.

The Yankees will get it. Seattle has a lot of tough road games ahead of them including the following teams: Angels, Yankees, Indians, Toronto. They cannot stay as hot as they are right now which was proven when they lost to road games to Texas over the weekend. They are a very dangerous team but they do not have the starting pitching to overcome people. I do think they might be able to take the AL West pending on how they play the Angels in their head to head series that remain. The Yankees are only 2 behind in the Wild Card with over 30 games remaining. Look what happened when they were counted out when they were 14.5 games back. It ain't over til it's over.

I think the Yankees will. Sure Seattle is doing great right now but they will fade in the coming weeks. Every Yankee hitter as of right now is hot as can be. The pitchers are ehhh but with there hitting they will overcome seattle. And as for Seattle its not like they have any amazing pitchers. The
Yankees do and these pitchers have been known to perform in very tough and important games.

The wild card will not be Seattle. The wild card will be out of the West though. Seattle overcomes LAA and wins the division.

As far as the question, seeing as you are probably a Yankee fan like the rest of the world, Seattle or Detroit will probably get it.
As for the Yankees, better luck next year.
