Okay I majored in Education but now I am having second thoughts and want to go back to school for Pharmacy...I just turned 21, how long do you think its going to take me to complete pharmacy school. (I don't know that much info about that).

I don't have a problem going back to school and I don't find it that hard I just want to know how long it would take...if anyone else is in that field can you give me some info. Thanks.

Having a degree already, you may be able to enter a pharmacy program directly. It will depend on the school you want to attend.

Your chances will be better if your liberal arts math and science courses were the higher level classes. Chemistry and higher math will be essential.

For example: The requirement at UC San Fran are online here (in quarter hours) http://pharmacy.ucsf.edu/pharmd/admissions/steps/1/academic/

If you have all those courses then you're good to apply. If you don't, then you'll need to get them.

I bet this document will tell you more than you want to know.

Yes, typically you will take a Pre-Pharm 2 year degree to prepare you for the 4 year Pharm D .

You might not need the full 2 years, as you already have a degree.

You wil need to take (as part of prep program or previous course-work)
Anatomy and physiology (two semesters)
Calculus (two semesters)
Economics-type
Composition (two semesters)
Biology (two semesters)
Chemistry (two semesters)
Microbiology
Organic chemistry (two semesters)
Pharmacy Prep
Physics (one or two semesters)

Note that both pre-Pharm and Pharm D are highly competative for admission.

first you will have to have a bachelor of science in chemistry and then the pharmacy school is another 3 or 4 years after that.
