I ask because of Futurama. I know I know, its a cartoon, but in the episode when Bender gets sent off to space after he was shot out of the ship when he was sleeping in the torpedo tube. And then a meteor fell on him and then he had his own species to look after so he was playing a god like role. Then eventually they all died due to his mishandling and then he meet god and it said "When you do too much, the people depend on you, and when you do to little, they loose faith. When you do the right thing, people will think you didn't do anything at all." Even though it came from a cartoon, I think the statement rings true.

lol! that's a great way to look at it! i never thought of it that way! to answer your question... it depends on your outlook.. if you're looking for a miracle, then any and all coincidences are tiny gifts from God, letting you know He's there and He knows what's going on in your life. If you don't believe that miracles happen, then even the biggest coincidences are just that. God loves all His children, whether they love Him in return or not, He's not going to shove Himself onto someone who doesn't want to have Him there.

All i know is that sometimes it's nice to know that there's someone bigger than yourself out there, that understands what's going on, and other times, it would be really nice to know that no one has cotrol, that we're just here from star dust

So, a god who does things right is indistinguishable from a nonexistent god?

Why do you think god has time to muck about with coincidence but not to tell the countless people murdering in his name to stop? What kind of god would be concerned with such trivial things when there are so many bigger problems in the world?

in a way yes, u should be aware of the coincedences- havei u ever read the celestine prophecy? its a good book, even thought the story is fiction, the prophecy isnt. heres the first insight... is pretty much based on coincidences

The First Insight... A Critical Mass
A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture; an awakening brought about by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding, a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidences.

Yes, your last statement is somewhat true. Yes, God is slipping in a miracle as there is no such thing as a coincidence, everything is planned.

I do think that all good things come from God. When I was about 7 I was at my friends house and we heard her sister laughing outside . Later we found out that she wasn't laughing...she was weeping. Their dog Angle had got hit by a car when they were outside and later died. I think that God made it sound like She was laughing so we didn't have to see Angle get hit and I am thankful for that to this day!

The universe is a giant lottery machine spinning billions of numbers everywhere at every time.

And you gape dumb-eyed and in awe when you happen to see fragments of patterns from time to time?
