Sometimes yes. I think a lot of it has to do with the ideas and expectations that society has drilled into our heads about what we should expect from men.
Such as, they should have:
.Fancy car, house, money, hot shot career, super intelligent, outrageously handsome, witty, caring, one woman man, trustworthy...etc. etc.
THEN AGAIN...the same can be said for men having unrealistic expectations of women.
Such has they have to have:
.Victoria's secret model body, big boobs, hot shot career, nice car, nice house, super intelligent, betty homemaker, do whatever for their man...etc.
I mean it seems like the same unrealistic expectations apply to both the men and the women. It's just a matter of the individual breaking out of the way society has told them to think and what is wrong and right when looking for a partner. I think that if people would learn that materials and money is not what defines a person, then we might have a better understanding of each other. Also it's clear that when we expect too much out of another person, that we end up being sorely mistaken and nothing turns out as we expected.

well, it depends on the expectations, u have given us very little mental picture to work with. If she is expecting u to spend all your hard earn money on her without looking out for yourself, I say yes. If she's expecting u to be a man and honor the words u hang out there in the universe to her, I say no. If she expects u to put your life on hold and center your complete life around her, I say yes. If she expects you to love her genuine and unconditionally, I say no. If she expects u to responsible and accountable for your own actions, I say no.

Probably just like men have unrealistic expectations of us girls. Looks, body type, career, brains... It's a never ending process and we should know nobody's perfect!

Find a guy who calls you BEAUTIFUL instead of HOT...
Who CALLS you BACK when you hang up on him...
Wait for the guy who KISSES your FOREHEAD... (always)
Who wants to show you off to the world when you are IN YOUR SWEATS... (especially this one)
Who HOLDS your HAND in front of his friends...
Wait for the one who is CONSTANTLY REMINDING you of how much he cares about you and how LUCKY he is to have you... (just can't do it enough)
Wait for the one who turns to his friends and says, "...Thats Her." <=== This little saying hits the nail on the head, and I don't think this is asking too much do you? Even though guys seem to have really big expectations of us ladies.

all we really expect is 4 u to be HONEST and LOYAL...
its guys that have unrealistic expectations. we are expected to be ur lady, maid, mother and whore while having kids and working a secular job...and God forbid we gain a pound or 2 in the process.

no all a woman wants is a gentleman who will open the door for them, pull out their chair at the restaurant, etc. It's not unrealistic at all, it's just hard to come by these days where most guys are only interested in getting them back to their place.
