I have a betta named Myrtle, they're very easy to care for, here's what you need to know:
-Feed them 3-4 pellets of betta fish food every day, DO NOT overfeed them
-Do NOT put them with another fish, they will kill each other
-If you put a plant in, it should be silk because plastic can damage their fins.

I would advise those wanting to get a fish to do the research BEFORE buying. As for you, the question has got some good answers already

they're easy to care for, you can put it in a small tank (enough room for a hiding place) put pebbles at the bottom, then pour fresh water in, then your done, and clean the tank daily. feed your beta flake food, they like it more than pellets.
