I have some very happy goldfish that are little beggers and love attention believe it or not. Besides ordinary Flake foods and an occational green peas as treats what is recommended to help bring out more of their colors?

Orange slices help intensify their color, but be sure to remove any left over debris from the tank after a couple days...

Feeding them healthy will bring out their colors. They need veggies like lettuce or zuccini, and oranges or other citrus, as well as some good protein like frozen krill (breeders swear by it for colors) to get the best out of their colors. I would not feed any flakes either, I would feed Hikari pellets -- a good variety should keep them healthy, but be careful not to overfeed. Good luck!

Pro-Gold goldfish food is hands-down the best food I've ever fed. My Black Moor is a rich, velvety black with slight copper undertones, and my fantail goldfish just glows with color. There was a noticeable improvement from the crappy Hartz-brand food I had been using. You can get Pro-Gold at http://www.goldfishconnection.com .
