Childcare. Our state allowed me to watch 3 without being certified,.. and I think it was six after I was certified. There are also grants available,.. and it gives your own kids playmates!

Here are my suggestions on finding a legitimate opportunity that's right for YOU:

- Set your financial goals -- Are you just looking for extra income or a potential full-time income? How long (and hard) are you willing to work to meet your goal?

- Determine if you are looking for a JOB or a BUSINESS -- there is a distinct difference between the two and you want to focus your energies appropriately for the best results.

- If looking for a JOB, what are your marketable skills and previous experiences? If you are looking for a BUSINESS, go with your passions, things that interest and motivate you the most. Build a list and use that to begin your search. General rule of thumb: Never pay for a job (businesses, on the other hand, usually involve some expenses).

- Review your budget -- know ahead of time what you are willing and able to invest into your business, including start-up costs and ongoing maintenance and promotion.

- Find a rep to contact, check out their websites, ask questions, do your own independent research.

- I personally also check out a company's status and consumer feedback on www.bbb.org and www.ripoffreport.com

Hope this info helps, best wishes on your search...

Starting a home day care is good. I babysit for family/friends. I don't have my house registered, but we do file it on our taxes, and I just print MSWord documents for the parents to put on their tax filings.

Even my sister and friends have some rules and contracts though. You can get burned... and if you present it to them in a manner that you'll both be covering your butts incase of a disagreement ESPECIALLY OVER MONEY, they're usually more cooperative and less offended.

i know alot of moms around my area that do small business type things around here

here is a list of some things you can look into..

pampered chef- which is like cooking supplies...they are really neat!

mary kay- make up and great skin care products

premier jewelry- fancy jewelry but sells good

these are all like magazines... you would have to get the workd out to people that you sell them and stuff like that so if your outgoing then you would be great at it. you should be able to find info on them online. just google them!
