even i think that my friends any my family should be with me forever and then i will use the word 'forever' as - i want world to know me forever as a great leader.
and yes.......keep smiling forever.

It depends on what it is applied to. Forever young or Forever your sound good, until you look closely at them. Forever alone or gone forever can bring some to tears.

The only "Forever" is Heaven or hell. I would love some "Forevers" 2 B "Forever". I think God knows our "Forever" loves, & they'll B there when we get there.

Forever, as infinite as its meant to be, sounds non-commital and deceiving to my ears.
Like puppy love. And BFF that stabs in the back.
I'll love you forever and a day / I'll love you till the day i die?
I promise I'll wear this forever / I promise I'll wear it till I can't anymore?
Maybe you like fantasy, but i like truth.

if its about love, of course, but when it comes to hate, i don't like that word.
sometimes people say forever to keep someone in heaven but people doesn't stick to words very often.

i love when people use the word in the situations you gave, but in other cases it can be a bad thing...ex. war forever, fight forever, starve forever, in pain forever, sick forever, etc.

There is nothing that lasts 'forever" everything will die, even relationships.
I don't use the word "forever" because I don't believe in it.
