Everyone is affected but if one class is affected the most it is the lower middle class. For one, since an American cannot live on the wages paid illegal immigrants, job losses are mainly in skilled labor such as heavy equipment operators. The current global system makes it impossible for advanced countries to continue paying high (middle class) wages. Either labor costs are decreased (the reason folks say there should be amnesty), the businesses cease to exist, or they move to countries with lower cost labor. This tends to increase the number of poor while increasing the number of upper middle class and well-off classes. The lower classes (and the economy in general) benefit by the lower costs and the increased number of upper middle class jobs benefits both this class and the stock holders. The increase in crime, of course, affects all relatively equally. The increased population in an already overpopulated country also has a negative affect on all.

It affects everyone. Some rich get richer, because they benefit from cheaper labor from both prespective and like most poor , spend a higher percent of their income, which corporations make more money from such behavior.
The poor get's hit the hardest, because it diminish the resources meant for the poor and decrease the wages.
THe middle class benefits somewhat from cheaper products, but since they are the main source of taxes, they are strained from paying higher taxes. Some of the middle class jobs now has turn into low income jobs due to illegal immigrants. THe question here is does the benefits out way the problems. By the way, California has one fo the lowest percent of middleclass.

No,
(I am presuming you are talking about illegal immigrants to the USA).
Every one in the USA is affected by illegal immigrants. Why? Every citizens that pays taxes is affected because illegal immigrants are a burden on our society by taking social services that they are not entitled to. Illegal immigrants are in our government schools, Illegal immigrants accept welfare, food stamps. With the new drive to ensure employees are here legally, the instances of identity theft has risen. Illegal immigrants often drive on our roads without the proper insurance.
Illegal immigrants depress the prevailing wages of the local economy by undercutting their demands for pay. After the meat packing plant was cleansed of illegals, did you notice how many local citizens applied for the same jobs? So much for illegals doing the work that American's will not do. American's will not do the work, it is just very difficult to do the same job and remain competitive with illegals wage demands
So no, poor people are not the only people affected by illegal immigrants. Everyone is.

No. Legal immigrants and people born here lose out in regards to jobs, money for welfare, etc. Illegal immigrants also are probably a major reason that the immigration laws are so strict! I don't want to sound mean... I understand why people would want to live in America, but it does cause trouble. Poorer countries like Mexico need to get with it and make their countries more livable... so people wouldn't feel the need to risk their lives to come to another country. Everyone should be able to live in a safe, stable environment and should be proud of their homeland.

Every taxpayer is affected too. The only way the illegal immigration proglem will be fixed to everyones liking is if there is infrastructure installed in the 3rd world. Infrastructure can be used both by rich & poor to create wealth.
During the cold war period the 1st world was attempting to install infrastructure in the 3rd world, but they felt it was their right to nationalize it. Short term the 3rd world area was inriched long term they were out jobs. Now the 3rd world governments have to create the infrastructure.

The immigration issue is not about poor people. It is about rich people who want to be richer. The beneficiaries of illegal immigration are: 1) the Mexican government and 2.) US business (which means the same thing as US government).
As long as the power and money of both countries want the current system, it will stay the current system –get used to it. Politicians only use the immigration issue to get votes and every possible ‘solution’ mentioned so far is just political hypocrisy.

In what context? As in, losing jobs to immigrants? yes, that's one way. but illegal immigrants affect all other segments of society, from hospitals whose services they use and don't pay bills, to crime, etc. So it's not just the poor who get hit when immigrants move in.

Everyone is affected - whether or not favorably is the broader question.
As a consumer, lower prices because of lower wages benefits me. Conversely, lower wages drives my wage earning capacity down. Where the net ends up is unclear.
