I was wondering if there were any Marine Reserve Bases in Massachusetts. I heard one of my friends say he has Marine buddies that train here. I know there aren't any bases here that train active personnel but what about reservists? If so, what MOS would you have to be?

I understand. Well, I found a unit in my home state: 1st Battalion, 25th Marines. Besides being activated, do you go anywhere else? Thanks so far for the answers.

The Marine Corps doesn't have "reserve bases". I think your friend was referring to the Devens Reserve Force Training Area, which was once part of Fort Devens when it was an active Army base. That area is located about 35 miles southeast of Boston in Devens, Mass.

The base may belong to the Navy Army or Airforce, but they probably have a section in it with Marines. I Drill in a Naval Air Base, the base belongs to the Navy but you will see Marines Airmen and Soldiers there. There might be ask your friend what his unit is then i suggest typing the units number on goggle more likely then not you will be able to find there drill dates and you may find what MOS's are available there. Depends on how well kept the site is.
