Thank you all for your answers. While I disagree with many of these opinions I respect your right to have them. Here is my own.
This refusal to even get the ball rolling on an exit strategy is completely unreasonable and irrational. I don't believe we should leave Iraq immediately, but they need to form an exit strategy and begin working towards that end now! Our presence in Iraq is not stopping terrorism. If anything it is breeding terrorism. Al Queda is stronger now than it was pre-911. Look it up. Its a fact. Our purpose in Iraq was to prevent them from using and making weapons of mass destruction and it has been proven that they never had them to begin with.
This war has done nothing but hurt our global image and further the wealth and power of the military industrial complex.
Eisenhower warned against the very thing we are seeing unfold today.
Our leaders are failing us and they need to be held accountable.

And thats all I got to say about that.

I have yet to see any proof that our Iraq strategy is working. (by the way, what is our strategy?)The fact that we have not had a major terrorist attack recently is NOT proof that we are winning. We had no major attacks in the years preceding the 9/11 attacks and our policy wasn't real good then, either. In fact, it seems that we are more hated now than ever by a lot of the world. Remember after 9/11 almost everybody was pro-America. When did we lose that good will? Wouldn't it be cool to work diplomatically with the big players on the world stage so that we didn't have to stand alone against terrorists? America has taken the "We'll do whatever the hell we want" tact and has resulted in almost unilateral hatred of our country.

So attacking Iraq in the first place seems to have been a mistake. We should have concentrated our efforts where they were needed - hello Saudi Arabia! Hello Afghanistan! But we can't go back in time. How can a country successfully fight against terrorism? I don't know, but we weren't greeted as liberators as promised, this surge didn't help as promised. And I don't feel safer. It seems like we have 3 options: nuke 'em, stay the course, or give up and leave. Nuking 'em would result in wiping out the planet b/c you know there would be retaliation in kind. Stay the course seems to be making things worse, so what does that leave us?

The 52 are Democrats, and George Soros runs the Senate. The Senate is being run by a man who was never elected by the people, for the people.

The all-nighter was a waste of time and yet another example of poor leadership on the part of Harry Reid.

Great question!!!

What's even more troublesome, the ppl in our Gov. are the biggest cowards to ever exist in politics, they can allow our troops to die and allow countless innocent ppl to die, yet they, the majority of GWB's administration, are not part of the military.

Therefore, lets draft GWB and his administration and then send them to Iraq and let them serve and die for our Country, then and only then would they get my support and perhaps just a little respect as well.

WTF is wrong?
Job not done.
Terrorists have gone to ground because of troop build-up.
Dumbs have NO plan for the "what now" event.
Majority believes in our armed forces.
Not Cowards who want to cut and run for a few votes.

For those of you who say "Bring them home now" and cannot fathom the cost of less than a total victory in this conflict, keep your Liberal mouths shut after the next major terrorist attack against us.

they know that it's logistically impossible and deadly dangerous to redeploy 160,000 troops in 120 days. i think they're brilliant.

They really, sincerely, want to lose the war. I know that can seem hard to believe, but it's true, and it's deep-seated enough that even were popular opinion reversed, you still wouldn't have gotten a unanimous vote.

they don't care b/c their families aren't over there fighting and it doesn't apply to them and the won't admit that they screwed up and thinks that it'll help but once us leaves it'll go right back to the same way you can't force your believes and politics on people who don't want it

They realize that if we withdraw at this time there will be total chaos in Iraq. Which result in an even bigger terrorist state. Grow up; and think about the actions you want to happen.
