I love short sweet and to the point goodbyes.
this drawn out crap is even too much for the Drama Queen herself.

Well frankly speaking, I hate long drawn goodbyes from "so-called" friends or relatives who I don't really care about. I like long goodbyes from family and friends though. <3

Depends on who I am saying goodbye too - if its with a beautiful girl and I am leaving for the night to go home then I can except if she wants a long goodbye.

Goodbyes are the hardest...the shorter the better. " See Ya' "would work for someone that you're going to be seeing again soon..".Love Ya' "with a hug for someone you won't see for a while... but, goodbyes to someone who's dying are the very hardest..and I don't want to let go of them...

They are the worst. I picked up this attitude from my dad. After saying our good byes and everything at the front door, my mom would begin the whole process, again at the car. I wanted to sob in frustration. We'd see these people again in a few weeks. If a good friend is moving away, that's entirely different.

It depends on why the quick goodbye is preferred. Escapism is a poor alternative to an honest goodbye.
Not that this is the case, I am trying to give a good thorough answer.
And we all have to remember that wherever we go, there we are.

LMAO! That is so funny... my Mom's side of the family is well-known for LOOOOOONG goodbyes, and all the husbands are always waiting in the car, honking the horn.... HA!!!! I can see why people hate them... to me it's mostly amusing.
