It's not an unbarable pain. It's annoying rubbing pain. Like if you get a bad scrape or cut and u keep rubbing it really hard.
But some people have higher tolerance for pain.
Oh, and if you're nervous and anxious and thinking "OMG !! this is gunna hurt.... wut am i doing ? i shudnt do this ..."
then it will hurt, very bad. Relax and talk to the tattoo artist.

It really depends on the person, but mostly YES!

Artists create tattoos by injecting ink into a person's skin. To do this, they use an electrically powered tattoo machine that resembles (and sounds like) a dental drill. The machine moves a solid needle up and down to puncture the skin between 50 and 3,000 times per minute. The needle penetrates the skin by about a millimeter and deposits a drop of insoluble ink into the skin with each puncture.

For some people, getting a tattoo might even trigger an orgasm, but mostly yes. Imagine someone poking you with a needle for roughly an hour.

OUCH

unhappy to declare yet, specific it hurts! that's a load of needles puncturing the exterior 1000's of situations a minute so it may't be painless. do not problem however, there are issues you're able to do to make the full adventure much less irritating: do not drink alcohol formerly having a tattoo - ideally for no less than a pair of days formerly. in case you have alcohol on your equipment it thins the blood, this then leads to greater bleeding once you're being tattooed which leads to larger scabs which will enhance the prospect of color loss whilst the scabs come off. then you definately could have had all the discomfort and have been given a 2d classification result. Nurofen liquid pills are meant to be extremely effective, however I even have not tried them myself yet. a chum who's nicely on his thank you to an entire physique fit swears by utilising them, and that i will attempt them for my next one in November. i think maximum discomfort killers might do the trick if sufficient are taken yet beware any that are aspirin based as they have an analogous result on the blood as booze. between the basically right issues to do is to have something to take your ideas off it - take a chatty mate with you or plug in to an MP3 participant or study a e book - something that distracts you from all those needles! sturdy success!

It all depends on how much pain you can handle, where you get it and the type of tattoo you get. For eg. a large tattoo with a lot of shading on the spine will hurt a lot more than a smaller outline on the arm.

It hurts, the buzzing sound you hear is a needle repeatedly breaking your skin and injecting a small amount of harmless ink.

But the pain isnt that bad, and usually after a couple minutes, the area becomes a little numb dulling most of the pain.

lohan is a moron. Tattoos hurt, espicially on the back, I had the outline done and I still have to have it colored in. It hurt so bad, I'll probably just sport the outline.

NO! Tattoos hurt like all get out. Even if you have a high tolerance for pain, it still hurts, it's dragging a needle under your skin, for goodness sake.

Who ever said getting a tattoo does not hurt is fibbing! It hurts! But it isn't like a terrible pain - if I can take it: anyone can. (I am a self declared needle weenie and I have 9 tattoos)

depends on where you get it and how your pain tolerence is

i have one on my left shoulder blade i rate the pain a 3 out of 10 (10 being the worst) .. it was more of a tickle than anything... getting a cavity filled with no overcane hurt more than the tattoo
