Why do you think fast food, SUV's and guns appeal so much to conservatives?

Hmm some believe bigger is better? Fast food makes em bigger, SUV's are bigger than cars and the guns give them bigger balls.

They believe that they should be able to do whatever they want. They may not eat junk food but believe that it should be sold. This is the same as with cigarettes. You can't be a right winger unless you support the freedom to smoke. It doesn't matter to them if they lost their father or mother to smoking they believe it should be the right to smoke. As for the SUVs they like to have power. They have no problem oppressing others and believe that an SUV gives them the power to oppress on the road should the time ever arrive. I would guess that having a big monster vehicle also related to their idea that the end of the world is near. They think eventually the US will be in a civil war where they will need their SUVs for survival along with many weapons. Poor conservatives like the feel of a gun in their hands. They feel threatened in the world and that gun is their only means of surviving. The truth is mosty right wingers despite their vocal anger are very cowardly individuals so the gun is the equalizer (no gun pun intended there). Of course the wealthy conservatives don't play around with guns. The haves amoung the conservatives make money from gun sales. They own the companies that make guns to sell to the poor conservatives.

Fast food is one of my daughter's favorite foods, though I limit it. I would love an SUV if I didn't have my pick-up, but it is a full cab. SUV would be great to haul kids/things around in when it is raining.
Guns? I have great aim. They are great protection as well. Have you ever tried to manually insert a bullet? I mean, talk about working up a sweat, and the intended victim gets so squirmy.

for the same reasons they appeal to liberals would be my guess. i eat fast food when i eat it because i like it, i drive a SUV because i want to, and i don't own any guns, because i choose not to.

Fast food. The name says it all, we have other things to do, and need to eat quick.

SUV's. They have lots of room, and can hold the family and all of the stuff we want to take with us. Most importantly though, the size provides extra protection for the family.

As for the guns, I use mine for hunting, recreational shooting, and I keep one for self and home protection. I worked hard for what I have, and I have the right to protect it.

Doesn't every political affiliation drive SUV's, eat fast food and go hunting? I could have sworn that I saw Bill Clinton in McDonalds and John Kerry hunting and I have no idea who drives what, but I know plenty of liberals in SUV's.

I'm a conservative and I like Mustangs don't like fast food
but I use to deer hunt and believe in the right to bear arms.
And I think that most of the people in the United States own
guns unless they have enough money to have body guards
And my wife cuts my hair but I don't pay her $400 for doing it..

Well, they appeal to non-conservatives, too. Except for the SUVs--I hate SUVs. They take up too much space in parking lots, people who don't know how to drive love them, they're top-heavy and roll over easily, and they're making the oil companies richer than ever. Oh, and they're ugly, too.

Liberals must be fond of them too, otherwise Conservatives must comprise over 85% of the country. All three of those are top sellers.
