I live in CT and am completely disturbed by this article. There are plenty of illegal immigrants in Danbury and Hartford that never report to an agency at all! It is as if they are luring-in the more honorable ones and then deporting them! At this point in our struggle with immigration, I agree with you, it is the illegal immigrant who never registers and has no tax ID that we need to be wary of.

Thanks for posting this!

Our laws state that when the visa is up, you have to leave. Those are the laws. That is part of the problem, everyone has a reason for breaking our laws. "If only you knew what it was like where I was living", "I wanted only to live in the US", "My hubby's visa expired and we forgot to extend it"
Granted, these people were making an honest living, but if we bend the rules, at what point do we stop bending?
If you invite me to your house for a visit, I am legally there, but if I never leave and you only meant for me to stay for an evening, then I am no longer there by invitation, and you would find any means you could to remove me.
There are 20 million reasons that the illegals are here, but all of them are illegal, whether they overstayed a visa, or crossed on foot or in a vehicle.
My father came here legally, became a citizen, THEN got married and had children. We were not anchor babies ( thank you Dad) and we never had to worry about him being shipped back overseas.
There is a line, it is etched in the laws of this country, and if we bend if for some, a bit more for others, then a bit more after that, we might as well just chuck it in the trash because it is broken already.
We need more border control, and more deportation, to the tune of 20 million. While I feel sorry for the anchor baby, her parents made that decision for her, when they had her here. She does have the choice to go with her parents.

Mimi ~ truthfully your call might desire to be dumb dumb. all of us are products of blended races someplace down the line and from the sound of it it sort of sounds such as you have forgotten that. each and every race that has had the oppurtunity to return to this usa has had to circulate with the aid of their hardships and unfortuneately their prejudices. The Irish have been dealt with worse than the African individuals at one element in historic previous, the Italians have been dealt with worse than the Irish. They fought with the aid of it and prospured, now there's a sparkling technology of Imiagrants all and sundry looks to think of that it is basically the Mexicans, yet in all actuallity there are greater undocumented jap Europeans right here, the Russians, Polish, Ukranians and the Lithuanians yet because of the fact their skin is white and not that of colour then they look over appeared. did you already know (actuality) that there are greater Polish in Chicago, Illinois that any the place else in the international next to Warsaw, Poland? I guess you probable think of that each and every physique Mexicans decide for to return right here to scouse borrow our jobs do not you? it quite is farther from the fact than all the Irish are drunks and the Italians are all in the Mafia, that the Polish do not bathe, the the yank Indians decide for to possess casinos, that the Germans have not have been given any personalitys, that Iranians, Pakastanians and people from India decide for to possess all the 7/11's and Dunken Doughnuts,That the Jews administration all the worlds funds. My Father fought in Viet Nam, he became into shot two times over there, his Father fought in international conflict 2 and died in Normandy, my brothers fought in the in the Persian Gulf conflict, one died there, my youngest brother is now on his 0.33 excursion in Iraq, so do not call your self a Patriotic American, you're a shame to this usa and for which it Stands. i might wish which you will possibly use it slow a splash greater wisely with the very freedom my relatives has afforded you. mutually as you're burning your go in a protracted time think of approximately it, Adolf.

I'm sorry but as unjust as the story may sound, they need to get deported. They knew full well when they immigrated here that their immigration was temporary (note the temporary visas). They made a conscious choice of settling down knowing that they could be deported at any moment.

They tried to do the bums rush and got caught. If you are not here legally, you can expect to be deported! They over stayed, why is that not as illegal as sneaking in? The law is reason free from passion.( Aristotle)

They're illegal. It's good that they were trying to become legal, but they'll just have to keep trying from thier homeland.

Immigration laws are so seldom-enforced, that you have to consider the possibility that anecdotes like this are stunts designed to generate sympathy for illegals.
