Their agents set it up with Yahoo!, and they get more responses because they're famous, and if you haven't noticed, because Yahoo! tells everyone the questions are there. Every featured question that's open for a while, even if it's crappy and not by a famous person, tends to get over a thousand responses.

Well you know when you make a yahoo e-mail? Well you have to put your name(s) and so I think that is how yahoo knows. Also celebs have more responses because they are celebs! Everybody wants to help! And it makes them really happy and proud that a celebrity chose them as the best answer! So that is what I think.

It's because yahoo actually selects the celebs themselves. It is just another way of getting attention for Yahoo Answers. Simply put, it's just another form of advertising.

yahoo people probably know a celed is a celeb because the celeb's people tell the yahoo people who they're dealing with. they probably get more responses because the fans want to help out their favorite star and say to all their friends "i talked to someong famous yay me!"

does that really happen? In any category? How can you prove that? Shoot, even on their own websites, it takes a few reads before I figure out a celeb response.
What are your facts for this statement?
I'm thinking you're a troll, and I'm disgusted with myself for an answer.

I generally don't answer the "celebrity" questioners because I know they all have an ulterior motive...and I'm not into being anyone's patsy.
However, I did answer Hillary Clinton's question about how to get more people involved in the political process. My answer: "Free Beer".
I didn't get Best Answer... (ha ha)

Because people want to please a celebrity and possibly get a best answer. That's like talking to a famous person. You know that its a celeb because it says 'Official' on they're pic.

Yahoo knows who the celebrities are just as you know. People respond because they want to talk to someone famous, don't ask me why.
