It will depress the value of houses that people have worked and paid for all of their lives-and...........................
If, inevitably, most of them are built on the cheapest available land(i.e. Flood plains)-then surely they will have to be built on stilts or the insurance premiums will make it a futile exercise-designed to catch votes for one eyed Jack at the next election-cos like his mate Blair he aint got any other ideas!!

Taxpayer money has been used to build many thousands of units of public housing over the past 4 to 5 decades.
They are being torn down.
It is a waste of money.
WHY?
That is like asking why there are poor people.
Some just DON'T wish to work. Won't even put up a little effort to clean or care for their own homes.
Will wantonly destroy the gifts they are given.
There exists dregs of society and there is NOTHING you can do to help THOSE individuals.
I wish it weren't true.
There are people who need help. Help them. They will then pick up their ball and run with it. Then there are those who will waste what you give them and and claim you OWE them MORE!
