It is an intrusive and rude thing to wonder. Here's the deal; if you cared about her, you would ask how her new relationship was going, and she'd tell you. If she felt comfortable mentioning sex, she would. To just casually wonder if she's still a virgin is not caring about her as a person at all. It's the worst form of gossip, getting information about someone that does not contribute to her well-being or your relationship with her. I don't think whether she's still a virgin or not is the big deal, the emptiness and shallowness of your question is.

Your actions show no class. This is none of your business. Why would you want or need to know this? If the girl never speaks to you again she is within her rights. You should continue to read the etiquette questions as you have a lot to learn.
To answer your question, yes it is a big deal.

Yes. Hate to break it to you but it's a huge deal. This is something really private and, if you haven't seen her for two years, she might not really want to share it with you. Also, she might not want to be reminded of when she had sex, so it might be a bit of a touchy issue. If I were you I'd apologise for being insensitive (even if you don't think you were) and say that of course it's none of your business. A little humility goes a long way with us girls.

Gee, you never ever learned manners or respect did you?
What business is it of yours anyway? After all she isn't YOUR girlfriend.
Would you want someone to come up and ask YOUR girlfriend if she is a virgin?
Please - get a course in courtesy and respect.

gee, you haven't seen her in two years, so you figured you would inquire as to the state of her virginity? not TOO nosy, are you?

and, how would you have reacted had she asked you if you are using rogaine, or viagra? would you have felt that that was normal for 'catching up'? or would you have felt embarrassed, humiliated, insulted?

so, tell me, would those questions really be THAT big of a deal?

i think that for a girl, it is, so what i suggest you is to talk to her because she might think you are the kind of guys who only want to meet girls and have sex, maybe she can't trust you because of what you ask her, but it also depends on the girl, some get offended while others don't care, hope this helps you. Good luck

Psssst....seing as how she is now dating someone, take a knee and thank whatever you believe it that the someone wasn't standing there.

Lots of fella's don't take kindly to other men asking about their lady's state of boot-knockin.

I don't really blame her for giving the silent treatment.

Asking that kind of personal question - regardless of how close you two are - or in this case, were - is considered really rude and most certainly none of your business.

You're lucky she didn't slap you.

Don't ever ask a woman that!!!!!!!! First of all she may of had a bad experience. second if she said no she would be considered a slot and if she said yes she would have been equally embarrassed. it is a really personal question. it is like asking her weight.
