Would you be totally confused? Or, how well do you know hand signals?

You're supposed to learn them before you get your license...and you're supposed to be tested as well. If you don't know them, Google them.

Well I'm from the old days and I know the hand signals, so it would not make any difference to me.

I'm a little out of practice, but as long as I was paying attention and realized what he was doing, I would heighten my alertness in case somebody else missed it and probably give him a friendly wave as I went past. Any signal is better than none.

I recently helped a nephew study for his license so I'm good at identifying hand signals again.

I grew up in Germany; they make you take a biking class in 5th grade. I know all the hand signals.

I know them. I had to learn them when I started driving.
If your signal is not working, you must use them, so you better know them.
It is relatively simple enough...
You extend your arm all the way out to the left to turn left-
you make an "L' shape w/ left arm, if turning right.
A lot of motorcycle riders will use them.

I see this all the time. But I usually see the same signal, with the same finger.

Its not so good. But I can understand hand signals. So, I will just tell him to show turn indcators from next time.

I know them because I used to drive a really old truck without working signals.
Some people definitely looked confused!
That was about 15 years ago.
