The Asker does not pick a best answer!!!!!!!!!
People spend time, energy, and sometimes even emotion to answer your question and they cant even be @rsed to pick a best answer!
That gets on my bl00dy nerves!!! Rude!!!

Its not that i want the points, but i was having a look through some questions in the 'Vote' bit. and some people had gone to so much effort, especially on some sensitive areas like divorce and things and they hadn't bothered to answer!
I always give everyone on my questions a thumbs up even if i dont agree, because they have taken the time to reply!!!! And i always pick a best, be it a day or so later, i always pick one!! :-) x x x

I KNOW!! I normally write alot and really think about people's questions. I always pick a best answer, it makes me feel good to know that somewhere out there someone just got an email that says they were the best answer and got 10 points. I know it's kinda stupid, but I remember how happy I felt the first time I got best answer, probably because it was like, last week because I just joined, but still. The only thing that annoys me more is when I ask a serious question and some idiot says something totally irrelevant and nasty like, "I wanna **** you," it's so stupid! Good question, you are so right!

doesn't bother me at all
some people only need to be on the Y!A to ask for something that interests them on the minute, so they won't be looking on the boards for points or rating...
I see nothing wrong with this.
Other people might see many good answers and don't need to pick a best one, that's where the voting comes handy...
i am sure you will pick now the best answer of someone who totally agrees with you...and it won't be me. so why would i worry who gets picked or if anyone gets picked at all...you ask an opinion and here it is.

I would usually pick the best answer but sometimes, I'm too busy to log on to YA or some of my questions would have too many good answers that I'd be stumped to choose just 1.

I let them go to the vote when I like 2 or 3 of the answers and can't decide.

It doesn't annoy me but I find it strange when someone asks a question about something very specific and you give a helpful answer that they don't bother to acknowledge it. Why not go on Google instead?

I always read the answers to my ¿'s, and I try to pick a best answer that is fair.
