I think most people like the person for the way the treat them at the begining of the relationship but then fall in love with the person. So all in all I love a person for both.

I love them as a person, but if they treat me well, it will only add to the love I already have.

I love them as a person. For the way they treat me is an entirely different scenario.

You love them for who they are. Hopefully they would treat you well. I know in the past I've been with a guy who treated me well but I was never in love with them. On the other hand how many times have women been abused and stayed with a man because they loved them.
I love my hubby for who he is and how he treats me, it's the whole package!

When I love someone it is for who they are not for what they can offer me.
