Go for protein rather then sugar to keep energy levels going strong rather than crashing. Edamame in pods is the perfect snack since it takes some time to eat and a one-cup providing offers 12 grams of proteins.

I tend to look in everyone's shopping carts, lol! It's unfortunate when an overweight person's got Dreyer's and Lays in their shopping cart though. IMO, it's not cruel to think "That explains it," because you'd think overweight people would especially steer clear from junk like that.

Eat in front of a person rather than a screen. It cuts down on mindless eating and allows you to more accountable for each bite.

OMG YES! I work at a grocery store. I even asked a severely obese woman why she bought so many groceries and she said because "I'm starving!" and "I'm not really overweight, I'm just too short."
