Well that item comes free with whatever you bought. So instead of having to buy both items seperate, you spend money on the more expensive item and get the cheap item for free. Plus, it just sounds good. People always want free things.

Because some people are just easy to fool !!!

I used to do electrical service work, and man, I can't believe how many people were fooled by:
"Oh, I went ahed and fixed that other problem too, no materials were needed!"
and they thought they were gettin' something for free, but, and here's the good part, I CHARGED BY THE HOUR!!!

Here's an even better "racket" - advertisers allow you to acquire more of something (for free) if you just pay the "Shipping and Handling". The "Shipping and Handling" charges actually produce the profit for these people.

Exactly, but for some reason I always buy it and say hey I'm getting something free.

Good point, I never understood why the contest entry you got from the inside of a cereal box said, "No Purchase Necessary".

And was your brother's name 'Sheerluck'?

Nothing in life is ever free. Well, maybe some advice you didn't want could be considered free.

I agree. They just add it into the price. Nothing is ever free unless you did not buy something at all.

Of course not.
Their just scamming you into buying something outrageously expensive first and then throwing in some cheapie thing after.
